Ellada Chakhoyan presents a stamp to Western Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian

GLENDALE—A special event was held on the release of commemorative postal stamps honoring vocal legend and Distinguished Honorary Artist of Armenia Ellada Chakhoyan. Those in attendance celebrated Chakhoyan’s 45-year long career as a world-renowned soprano at Allegro Restaurant in Glendale on Tuesday, May 28. The event was organized by the VM Foundation and “Arpa” Armenian Philatelic Association.

On behalf of the Prelate, Reverend Ghevont Kirazian presented a certificate of recognition to Chakhoyan in which the Prelate congratulated the honoree on the well-deserved honor and for a lifetime of outstanding contributions to music. He wished her many more healthy years to continue to touch hearts and souls with her God-given skills and artistry.

On Friday, May 24, Chakhoyan visited the Prelacy where she met with the Prelate and presented him with a stamp.
