Israeli Drone Caught Spying on Iran ‘Took Off from Nakhijevan’

Tehran released the photo of an Israeli Hermes 450 drone it downed on Aug. 23

NAKHIJEVAN, Azerbaijan—An Israeli spy drone which Iran recently downed on its way to one of the Iranian nuclear site had taken off from an air base in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan (Nakhijevan) exclave, sources say.

The anonymous sources said the Hermes drone, which was taken down by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces on Aug. 23 after 300 kilometers of flight, was bound for the Natanz enrichment facility in central Iran.

The revelation about the Israeli drone’s launch site indicates Baku’s involvement in the spying mission, the unnamed sources claimed.

The stealth spy drone was targeted by a surface-to-air missile before it reached the strategic location.

Iran’s nuclear facilities have been a regular target for espionage activities by US and Israeli intelligence services, which have at times used drones for this purpose.

Azeri officials continue to claim that they will never allow their country to be used as a launch pad against Iran, but the Baku government has been serving the Israeli government’s interests in the region.

Israel’s strategic Haifa port receives nearly 40 percent of its oil needs from the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline cutting across Azerbaijan.

In another sign of Azerbaijan’s hostility against the Islamic Republic, a separatist cell calling itself “World Azerbaijanis Congress” recently held an anti-Iran forum in Baku.

The World Azerbaijanis Congress, which was founded in the United States in 1997, seeks the separation of Iran’s northwestern provinces of East and West Azerbaijan and their unification with the neighboring Republic of Azerbaijan.

If the artificial state of Azerbaijan claims its territories are not used by Israel, and the US by extension, to spy over Iran when this unmanned Israeli drone was launched from the Azerbaijani-occupied ancient Armenian province of Nakhichevan, then Azerbaijan is either lying or claiming that Nakhichevan is NOT a territory of Azerbaijan which would be the only factual statement ever coming from the criminal Azerbaijani fake leadership.

Whatever the reason, it should be crystal clear to the Iranians that this fabricated nation of pseudo-Turkish Azerbaijani mutts can not be trusted and help further solidify the close relationship between Iran and Armenia. Iranians must realize that some of the arch-enemies of Iran are also the enemies of the Armenians and that it will be in their interest, in the long run, to not only support the liberation of the ancient Armenian province of Artsakh, falsely known as Karabakh, but also to help the Armenians liberate Nakhichevan.

This should be very important to Iran because it will practically remove the Turkish presence from the South Caucasus and it will also isolate and disconnect the artificial state of Azerbaijan from the northwestern territory of Iran, bordering Nakhichevan, which the Azerbaijani separatist terrorists and hooligans call south Azerbaijan.

Iran and Azerbaijan have been playing this LOVE AND HATE ploy for centuries.
Azeris have big influence in running of Iran nowadays. They are each other’s COUSINS.
DO NOT TRUST and do not take sides. When they get into the BED at night, all is forgiven and forgotten.
Iranians like and TRUST Armenians much more than any other neighbour. However, do not get fooled by that and do not capitalise on that too much.
During MASHRUTIAT Armenia’s YEPREM KHAN saved Iran’s face. Yeprem Khan was much more trusted by IRANIANS than Turkish Satar Khan. Yeprem Khan gave his life to save Iran.
    Who remembers?

Azerbaijan is a made-up name and it does NOT refer to a unique nation. It is the name of a place in ancient Persia and has nothing to do with the fabricated Azerbaijani nation. The name of this location in ancient Persia is called “Azer Padegan”, which translates to Fortress of Fire, and the name was stolen and given to a group of people formed from the mix of ancient Persians with the invading Turkish tribes who adopted the Turkish language.

When the artificial state of Azerbaijan, which never existed in the history of mankind, was invented in 1918, it was deliberately given the name Azerbaijan to fool and brainwash its people to believe that the northwestern region of Iran with the same name (Iranian provinces of eastern and western Azerbaijan) are actually part of this newly-invented artificial Azerbaijani republic. This is the reason why the Azerbaijani separatist terrorists call the northwestern region of Iran as south Azerbaijan, implying that the artificial Azerbaijani republic is northern Azerbaijan.

There are NO Azerbaijanis in Iran but only Turkish-speaking Persians falsely known as Azerbaijanis. These people are only indigenous to the south of the Aras River (northwestern Iran) and are NOT natives of the south Caucasus which is the region north of the Aras River.

Basically, neither the Turks nor the pseudo-Turkish Azerbaijanis are indigenous to the regions where they have established their illegal and artificial republics respectively through mass-extermination, genocide and depopulation of the indigenous peoples of these lands.

These so called East andf West Azerbaijanis are genetically all Iranian. The Iranian government better capitalize on that and invest in some schooling and Iranian Culture or they will loose a great part of their territories to a myth.

Iran better quickly learn who its real friends are in the region instead of blindly hugging any nation merely on the basis of Islamic commonality. Today Iran’s national security is being threatened by as many if not more nations that happen to be Islamic rather than non Islamic nations. Iran should consider Turkey and Azerbaboonjan at or near the top of that list.
